The New Arrival
A few months after the barbecue Beatrix was making pancakes for breakfast when the phone rang…
“Morning, this is Maurice speaking. I had to take Myriam to the hospital. The children are still sleeping…” Maurice was sounding worried.
“Don’t worry about it. I will get them ready for school” Beatrix replied.

After waking Clarice to get the Spotter children ready, Beatrix went over to the Chantilly house. The children were still in dreamland and she had to wake them.
Christian cried a bit when he saw his parents are gone, but quickly stopped when Beatrix told him that they went to the hospital to get him a baby brother or sister.
Beatrix made sure they are washed and dress and then took them back to the Spotter house.
They all enjoy pancakes for breakfast
And was still in time for the school bus
Later that morning Beatrix went to the flower shop. She decided on Calla lilies, because she knows it is Myriam’s favorite.
“How are you?” Beatrix asks as she enters.
“Mother and baby are doing well” Maurice smiled.
“We decided to call him Jacques” Myriam beamed.
